Aga Khan University’s Bachelor Scholarship in Medicine for International Students including Afghanistan in Pakistan (2021 – 2022)
Aga Khan University (AKU) in Islamabad – Pakistan’s first private university and one of the leading institutions of higher learning has announced the launch of its undergraduate scholarship program for Pakistani and overseas students for the academic year 2021/22. All students residing in Pakistan or foreign applicants can apply for this scholarship to study Bachelor of Medicine at AKU in Pakistan.

Benefits:
After being accepted into a university program at AKU, a student who cannot afford to pay for university tuition can apply for financial aid.
The university is offering five fully funded scholarships [Renewable Entrance Scholarship] to students enrolled in the MBBS program.
This is a merit-based scholarship. The university provides accommodation but there is a fee for it.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates in Pakistan or abroad, who have successfully completed their HSSC / Postgraduate / Postgraduate studies with at least 70% marks or GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale in 2021 b.
Candidates must appear and clear the entrance test (see official link for more details). The Faculty of Medicine does not have any preference for a specific type of training and preparation.
Candidates must have sufficient proficiency in English both verbally and in writing as the medium of instruction at AKU is English.
Having working knowledge and good skills in Urdu language is highly preferred. In addition to meeting the university’s minimum eligibility criteria and successfully completing the university admission process as outlined in this brochure for AKU, all candidates (in Pakistan and abroad) must satisfy the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) requirements and regulations applicable at the time of admission to medical colleges in Pakistan. Currently, this includes submission of MDCAT test scores. This test is administered by PMC.
Selection criteria :
The university accepts students for its programs based on merit and leadership potential. Merit will be measured according to several criteria including academic achievements, performance in AKU admission test and interviews, useful use of time and other experiences that demonstrate leadership potential.
